The thousands of young illegal immigrants crossing into Texas is creating a humanitarian crisis at the border. There are no easy answers on this one. There are two issues at play. First, they are here illegally. Second, they are kids. Homeland Security boss  Jeh Johnson summarized the problem today on Meet the Press

“We have to do right by the children, but at the end of the day, our border is not open to illegal migration and we will stem the tide,” Jeh Johnson, the U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security, said on NBC’s “Meet the Press” on Sunday.

How should we look at this from a biblical worldview? Here are some queations to discuss with your students or son/daughter.

1 Read Romans 13:1-7. How could this relate to illegal immigration? How does that relate to our call to care for the poor (Galatians 2:10; James 1:27; 2:2-15)? How can these two things be balanced?
